Old Projects

I’ve been involved in a number of projects over the years which have now sadly finished. With this being the case I wanted to reduce their importance from the website but not get rid of them completely so I created this page.

The first project I was involved in was trying to create a fourth issue of Ironstone, West Lothian’s New Writing Magazine. Sadly due to lack of time and money there was no fourth issue was ever possible. To find out more about Ironstone and to check out the second and third issue click here.

Between 2012 and 2014 I did TV and Movie reviews for Culture Jam. When I first started it was called TV Jam but changed to include other forms of media. All my reviews are available below split into the years I did them. There were three tv shows I reviewed more than any other so to keep my ‘year’ pages tidy I set up separate pages for them. If you enjoyed my TV reviews I recommend you check out my Another Serving of Culture Jam on my blog to see further thoughts on the shows I reviewed.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is the TV spin-off of the Marvel Movie universe. Set after the Avengers, the show tells the story of Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg) and his new assembled team of agents who try to protect the public from all the weird and wonderful things that have appeared in the world.

 Doctor WhoPage Projects
It is difficult to sum up a show like Doctor Who in a few sentences. It is about a Time Lord called the Doctor who travels in time and space. So far 11 actors have played the Doctor thanks to his alien ability to regenerate. The reason the show is so fun is best described with the 11th’s Doctor’s self description of himself: “I’m a mad man in a blue box.”

 HomelandPage Projects
Homeland is an American spy drama/thriller written by Howard Gordon and Alex Gansa based on the Israeli series Hatufim (English title: Prisoners of War). The show stars Claire Danes and Damian Lewis as CIA officer Carrie Mathison and US Marine Nicholas Brody respectively. When Brody returns to America after being held captive by al-Qaeda in Iraq, Carrie is suspicions that he isn’t the returning war hero everyone thinks he is.
