Blue Money was a Microcosms flash fiction tale written for the 39th week of the competition. As with most weeks of Microcosms you had to use three elements from their spinner. Blue Money’s elements was:
- Blue’s Singer
- Attribute – Giant
- Genre – Crime
There will always be stories you really like whether they deserve it or not and Blue Money is certainly a story I like. Let’s have a look and see if it deserves that love or not.
As some folk know I’m not a fan of The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald. I just found the book dull and its character’s uninteresting. So when Flash! Friday used it as one of their prompt novels I went in a totally different direction focusing on the other side of the 1920s, its gangsters. Using the themes of man vs man, jealous husband and 1920’s New York I came up with my one hundred and forty-nine word tale Attention. You’ll find it below the break
